I have been very impressed with the teamwork and friendships that I have seen in our classroom, and we are only two days into the school year!
When we are writing, I hear students asking each other for help and students helping each other back. I hear comments such as, "Sure I can help! You spell love like l...o....v....e!"
Today, I was very inspired by one little boy in particular. He saw that his friend was having a hard time counting, went and got a "pointer finger," pulled the other to the one hundreds chart, and started teaching him how to count. He said, 'Okay, I will say the number and point and you say it after me! Ready? Let's go!" I was so very proud of my little Wildcats!
I am so looking forward to a wonderful year with each and every child :)
